The exhibition showcases an exceptional collection of manuscripts on science, literature, jurisprudence, astronomy, and medicine, some dating back over a thousand years. It provides detailed explanations of the arts of copying, illumination, and bookbinding in Islamic heritage.
A rare collection of manuscripts on Islamic jurisprudence, some dating back more than six centuries. The collection includes early copies of foundational works in Hanbali, Shafi'i, Maliki, and Hanafi jurisprudence, along with manuscripts on legal theory and theology. Some manuscripts feature scholarly certificates (ijazat) written in their margins.
Manuscripts on astronomy, mathematics, medicine, and pharmacology, reflecting Muslim scholars' scientific contributions to human civilization. The collection includes rare copies of works by Ibn Sina, Al-Razi, and Al-Khwarizmi, with precise illustrations of celestial bodies and medicinal plants.
