The First Saudi State (1744-1818) witnessed a comprehensive civilizational and scientific renaissance. Founded by Imam Muhammad bin Saud in Diriyah, it expanded to encompass most of the Arabian Peninsula. It was characterized by stable governance, economic and cultural prosperity, with Diriyah becoming a thriving capital and meeting point for scholars and merchants from across the Islamic world.
